Manning Gymnastics Wins Big At Regionals 5-14
17 Gymnasts Qualify For Nationals
Victoria, Texas —
A great regional meet for Manning Gymnastics’ Elite team in Lubbock.
Manning Elite qualified 17 of 17 athletes and 46 of 47 events to Nationals.
Avery Martin level 5, region 3 tumbling champion. Madison Creamer, Addison Temple and Kylie Ortiz, 2nd place on trampoline, all missing gold by one tenth of a point. Paxton Henley takes second on trampoline. Jaden McCarter, bronze on trampoline and double mini, and Kennedy Koenig, bronze on trampoline. I talked with two of the medal winners and head coach Chad Ganaway.
Said Martin, “It was really exciting. I’ve never won first overall on tumbling as a level five gymnast.”
Said Temple, “I was actually really surprised. I was like shocked.”
Said coach Ganaway, “It was a really good competition. Region three’s made up of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico and has some of the best coaches and athletes in the country. Any time you have success there it’s a really good feeling that the hard work’s paying off.”
Manning Elite trampoline and tumbling now have kids qualified for nationals in Palm Beach, Florida and in Des Moines, Iowa, in July.
