Manning Gymnastics Starts 2019 Strong
Three Top 10 Finishes Last Sunday
Victoria, Texas —
A great start to the 2019 season for Manning Gymnastics last weekend.
At the Juniior Olympic Texas Shootout last Sunday in Buda, Manning had three optional level six gymnasts compete in all four events. 15-year-old Madison Kurth took second place on beam, third place in the all-around. 14-year-old Audrey Janak, fourth place on beam, fifth on bars, fifth in the all-around standings. 15- year-old Taylor Malaer finished in tenth place in the all-around. I talked with Manning Gymnastics head coach Beth Burleson about the team’s great start to the season.
“It was an amazing meet for the girls. Our first one was a big learning curve and we changed up a few routines. We had one athlete that was injured during that competition. They just excelled tremendously trhoughout their practices. This is their first optional competition for these girls. So they did really well.”
Manning Gymnastics’ next competition will be in New Orleans starting on January 25.
