Victoria, Texas —
Manning Gymnastics Junior Olympic team, putting in a great showing at the recent Texas South State competition in Houston.
In Level threes, Amarie Castro took sixth in the all-around in her age group; Charlee Cummins taking eighth, Channing White finishing seventh in their age groups; Hannah Hernandez, taking fourth place in her age group, with a third place on balance beam; Taylor Crow, receiving second place all around in her age group; and Gloria Gajewski, second place all around in her age group, including a first place finish on floor. I talked with Gloria and Manning Junior Olympic team assistant coach Anna Pearce.
Said Gajewski, “Things I really worked on the most were my kip, turn, my leaps, really all my skills.”
Said coach Pearce, “I was really proud of them. They worked so hard over the season. They achieved goals that they worked so hard for. I was very proud of them. “
Gloria has been invited to the Texas awards banquet in Fort Worth in June.
