Man hospitalized after shooting in Wharton
The gunshot victim is identified as 20-year-old Keilonn Allen
WHARTON, Texas — Authorities are seeking help from the public in identifying several subjects who fled a shooting that left one man wounded. On Friday, April 1, at approximately 6:53 p.m., Wharton Police Department responded to several reports of shots fired.
Authorities were dispatched to the area of 405 E. Boling Highway and 310 University Avenue. The victim, a black male identified as Keilonn Allen, 20, was found in the parking lot of 310 University Avenue with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Wharton EMS treated Allen at the scene and then airlifted him to Memorial Hermann Downtown for further treatment. His injuries are listed as non-life threatening.
Police are searching for multiple suspects in connection with the shooting. The suspect vehicle is only identified as a gray passenger car that fled the scene with multiple occupants.
