Local organizations participate in annual Color for a Cause
VICTORIA, Texas — The Victoria Mall held their annual Color for a Cause contest, a live coloring contest and shopping event to raise funds for local organizations.
These organizations competed with each other by drawing a live mural in just two hours.
The winning organization would then receive a two hundred and fifty dollar donation.
A dollar of each purchase made to participating stores will also go towards the organization of the shopper’s choice.
“You know, it’s just a great opportunity, again, for the community to come together and to support the many fine organizations in the Victoria area,” explained Hope of South Texas Director Rick Tinney. “And so, we just appreciate that support and, again, sharing our message with the people in the community.”
Over twenty organizations participated in this year’s event, including the Boys and Girls Club, Bella Awareness Project and Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
