Local non-profit to team up with Texas Roadhouse

A local pet adoption organization is teaming up with Texas Roadhouse to help relocate animals in need.

Saving Animal Lives 24/7, a Bloomington-based non-profit that works to rehabilitate and relocate at-risk pets, is holding a fundraiser at the Texas Roadhouse on North Navarro on Wednesday. If diners at the restaurant mention founder Megan Driver, or her animal rescue organization, 20% of their tabs will be donated to saving some fuzzy friends.

“That’s literally my passion in life,” said Driver on Monday. “To save the animals from being euthanized or off the streets and getting them to the home the deserve.”

Saving Animal Lives 24/7 began as a simple, do-it-yourself rescue operation, but has since grown to receive official IRS non-profit status. Driver says they work closely with dozens of other non-profits in and out of state with the goal of finding the perfect home for every animal she cares for.

Anyone interested in helping the organization can stop by Texas Roadhouse at 4908 N. Navarro between 3 pm and 10 pm on Wednesday, and mention Megan or Saving Animal Lives 24/7. Interested parties can also contact Driver at (512) 787-8385.
