Local coronavirus hotline changed

VICTORIA, Texas — Due to a reduction in phone calls, Victoria County’s coronavirus hotline has been changed. Calls pertaining to COVID-19 will now be taken during normal business hours by the Victoria County Public Health Department at (361) 578-6281.

Any questions about local business occupancy levels can be addressed at the Victoria Fire Marshall’s office at (361) 485-3460.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Victoria County is reporting 15 active cases of the novel coronavirus. There are 30 total active cases in the Golden Crescent region.

Victoria County has reported a total of 7 deaths from the virus.
