Local All-Star Softball Game Canceled
Too Much Rain Wipes Out Game
Victoria, Texas — A local high school softball All-Star game gets rained out again. This time it’s for good for this year.
Too much rain in the early Monday hours, forcing the cancellation of the ninth annual Crossroads High School Softball All-Star game. It was sponsored by the Victoria Softball Umpires Assosciation. It was originally scheduled for June 6 at the St. Joe Field Of Dreams, but it was rained out that night and rescheduled for tonight. VISD players picked for the game included Breanna Young of West, and East Titans Kaylynn Franklin, Haleigh Lidak, Danielle Gomez and Jasmin Hill. Three St. Joe seniors were also picked, including Julianna Espinoza, Mariah Morris and Tori Chapa. Madison Flores from Faith Academy got picked for this All-Star game as well. The complete list of area softball high-school All-Stars was published on our website, crossroads today.com, on June 4.
