Limited use of park facilities now available in Yoakum

The city golf course is now open too, but to members only

YOAKUM, Texas – Effective today, the City Parks system is open to family and small group gatherings limited to eight individuals. Picnic areas are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Ball courts and Playground equipment is limited to eight users at any one time. The rodeo arena and little league fields remain closed to public use.

City Golf Course:
The City Golf Course is open to current members only. The Golf Clubhouse remains closed. Players are restricted to one person per cart unless of the same household. Groups are limited to five players. Players should avoid handling pins and ball washers. The course condition has not been maintained, so play may be negatively affected. Hole #7 is closed as the green is currently undergoing treatment for a parasite.

General Note:
All users must follow the social distancing and sanitation protocols needed to keep everyone healthy. The City cannot guarantee virus-free sanitation practices at these facilities. Everyone must follow the same protocols required at other public places. The City needs your compliance and personal
responsibility in order to justify leaving these facilities open and to allow future openings of public facilities.
