Lighted Christmas Miracle Parade to be Held Saturday

The Annual Lighted Christmas Parade was canceled December 3rd due to a high chance of rain; this left several Victorians disappointed because of the work and practice that went into preparing for the parade. One area man has some great news for those who really wanted a parade this year, but this parade is not put on by the city. The parade will start at 6:00 pm and will have a new route which will start at Patti Welder Middle School and go down the corner of North Street and Laurent down to Ben Wilson to the Little League fields. Parade Manager, Nacho Trevino, is inviting all the floats that were to going to be in the Lighted Christmas parade to join the Christmas Miracle parade this Saturday.

“It’s all about showing Santa Clause and being in the Christmas spirit for everyone and we don’t expect half the size of the participants, but at the same time we have quite a few that are coming from the Victoria Christmas parade,” Trevino said.

There is still time to enter a float, but the deadline is Wednesday December 13 th . If you would like to participate give Nacho a call at (361) 652-1103.
