PORT LAVACA, Texas- On Saturday, September 5th during labor day weekend Lavaca B-B-Q will give out meals to essential workers.

The first 25 people will get a whole pound of brisket, the second 25 will get a half-pound of brisket this is all with a purchase of a meal. On Sunday the owners will have a big give away.

“We’re going to have a drive-through, not so much of a curbside it’s going to be a drive-through. We’re going to be doing roughly 600 plates given out to all the public. Nowadays everyone is essential. So we want to make sure all our customers all over the community receive something. We’re talking about 600 plates which will consist of a pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork sandwiches are usually about half of a pound in weight so it’s moist pork along with that we’re going to have a bag of chips,” said Lupe Nevarez, Co-owner of Lavaca B-B-Q.

The meal will also come with a bottle of water and ice cream. All car passengers will receive a plate.
