Laurent Street flooding due to sump pump failure
Avoid the area until the water is clear
VICTORIA, Texas – According to Victoria Public Works, 45 minutes after rain started on Tuesday morning, sump pumps failed at the underpass on Laurent St., three blocks South of Houston Highway.
The road has up to four feet of water in some areas. Since Laurent St. is a State road, it is temporarily blocked off until State officials can clear the water.
Please avoid the area.
