Lady Warriors fall to Diamondbacks in three sets

SAN DIEGO, Texas — The Victoria West volleyball team traveled to San Diego to take on Sharyland Tuesday evening.

The Lady Warriors would end the season getting swept 25-19, 25-23 and 25-17.  West head coach Alysia Hill said Sharyland was consistent through the three sets and would capitalize on the “free balls” that went to the Diamondback side of the court. In the second is when the West Lady Warriors had the best chance to win a set due to the fact West had better serves.

We have a great group of senior girls on our team… They helped the team bond together, said Hill. Although this season is over, it is exciting to have a young group of girls, who are eager to play on the team for next season.

West finishes the season 28-10 overall and 8-1 in district.
