Korean War veteran’s remains buried in the Crossroads
Inez native Army Private First Class Adelaido M. Solis's remains found by DPAA
VICTORIA, Texas – The body of a veteran from the Korean War heads to Victoria today for burial in his hometown.
Army Private First Class Adelaido M. Solis fought in the Korean War. He was reported missing in action Dec. 1, 1950. Then, Solis died as prisoner of war in April 1951 at 19-years-old.
Although North Korea returned the remains of POWs in 1954, Solis’s remains were determined non-recoverable Jan. 16, 1956. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency identified the body of the Army PFC Aug. 15, 2022.
Angel’s Lucy Funeral handled the body of the Army PFC in Victoria. However, Solis will take place in San Jose Cemetery.
