Koch qualifies for regionals

Koch shot a 167 total and was 25+ over par through the two rounds of play

VICTORIA, Texas — The final round of the 5A district 29 golf tournament is over and only one Victoria athlete is heading to regionals.

As a team, the girls Victoria East’s “A” team finished in 4th place after shooting +263. West finished in 5th with a +300. The East’s “B” team finished in 7th with a + 408. Corpus Christi vets finished 1st, cc. ray second and flour bluff took third. Individually, Lady Titan’s golfer Emma Koch finished fourth and qualified for regionals. Koch shot a 167 total and was 25 over par through the two rounds of play.

There were similar results in the boys division. The East boys team finished in 4th and the West “A” team finished in 5th. East shot a 187+, and West shot a 224 +. Gregory Portland took first place, C.C. Ray took second and C.C. Veterans finished third. Individually, Wade Patek from West finished tied for 8th and missed out on qualifying for regionals.
