Keep Victoria Beautiful cleanup project has nearly 230 volunteers for Earth Day event
The group picked up trash all over Victoria, from Riverside Park to along the loop on Zac Lentz Parkway.
VICTORIA, Texas – Keep Victoria Beautiful celebrated Earth Day with a cleanup project this morning.
Around 230 volunteers showed up to pick up trash along the loop on Zac Lentz Parkway. Christy Youker is the Executive Director of Keep Victoria Beautiful and she says that every little bit helps.
“I’m hoping that everyone just feels better picking up a few pieces of trash, you know? So, we made Victoria a little bit better today on this Earth Day,” says Youker.
In addition to cleaning up around the loop Keep Victoria Beautiful also cleaned up all over the city – with eight remote locations, from Port Lavaca Highway and Riverside Park as well as North Navarro and Main Street.
They also do clean sweeps all you need is a group, and date, and Keep Victoria Beautiful will facilitate a cleanup event for you.
