Jelley wins All Pro Tour at Victoria Country Club

VICTORIA, Texas – The 2020 All Pro Tour, APT, took place this week at the Victoria Country Club with players from all around gathering to win that big prize.

For 25 years the Victoria Country Club has hosted the All Pro Tour. This year’s tournament had a wild finish.

There were a lot of ties and lead changed towards the end of the tournament. On Saturday, Curtis Reed was in the lead after 13 holes, but with a couple of bogeys down the stretch he found himself out of the top three. The tournament wasn’t an easy finish for anyone as four players were separated by one shot. The final results were left to playoffs. Four rounds of playoffs that is, between two former college teammates. Brendon Jelley and Zach Bauchou who played at Oklahoma State together. After playing the extra holes on the 18th, 12th, 18 and 12 again Jelley took the victory.

“It’s always tough in a playoff, you never really know when it’s going to end,” Jelley said. “I knew we were playing two pretty challenging holes, so I knew one of us was going to have to make birdie eventually. Fortunately on the last hole I had a putt that I felt like I could make it kind of be aggressive with and I knocked it in so it was a good feeling.”
