Jaguars wrap up home series with a win

UHV baseball wrapped up its three-game conference home series on Monday at Riverside Stadium. The Jaguars ended the series on a high note, beating Jarvis Christian, 7-2.

Jarvis Christian scored two runs in the first inning off Ross Bludau, but they wouldn’t score again. The Jaguars got single runs in each of the first four innings, then had a three-run eighth inning for the 7-2 win. Jacob Mihalski had UHV’s first RBI for the game and ended up with three RBIs. Bludau pitched five innings to get the win, allowing just four hits with five strikeouts.

The Jaguars take the RRAC series, 2-1, and are now 3-3 in the conference. UHV baseball will be right back in home action on Tuesday at 2 p.m. They will play a non-conference doubleheader against A&M-International.
