Jaguars lose 9-8 to Wildcats
UHV loses in ninth to Louisiana Christian University
PINEVILLE, LA- The UHV Jaguars baseball team were on the road the Louisiana Christian University Wildcats on the road.
The first inning started with homeruns on both sides. Kaden Fikac hit a two run homerun to right center at the start of the game but LCU responded in the bottom half of the first with a solo homerun themselves. There would be no runs no scored until the fourth inning. The Wildcats would get two more runs and take the lead. But UHV didn’t trail for long as they had a five-run fifth inning. One of the highlights was three-run moon shot by Ty Williams. The Jaguars added one more run in the seventh inning and the Wildcats would add one in the eight.
In the ninth inning the Jaguars had a one run lead over the Wildcats 8-7. Turner Gryseels pitched the bottom half of the ninth to try to close out the game and get the save. The Wildcats comeback to tie the game. they the get a runner on third base. With two outs the Wildcats score on an error and get the win 9-8.
