It’s really beginning to feel like Autumn in South Texas
VICTORIA, Texas — It’s strange, but in a good way, to only have two days of 90 degree temperatures in the forecast. With multiple cold fronts in the forecast this week, it seems like summer is really over and fall has finally arrived.
For the rest of the week, we will slowly continue this warming pattern with clearing skies. Friday is looking at a high in the mid 80s and Saturday is looking at the low 90s. The lows will remain on the lower side in the low 70s to upper 60s. As much as we are sick of the 90-degree days, get out there this weekend and enjoy what may well be some of the last ones for the year.
On Monday, a cold front will approach the area, bringing us scattered to numerous showers and a nice cool down back into the low 80s for highs. Another cold front will come through on Thursday to reinforce that cooler pattern, and bring more much-needed rainfall to the area.
As for the tropics, Invest 96-L is now Potential Tropical Cyclone 16, and on track to hit the eastern gulf coast (LA-MS-AL) as a Tropical Storm. Staying well away from us, but hurricane season is not over until November 30th.
