Investigation ensues after Goliad man dies in motorcycle accident on FM 2987
GOLIAD, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a single vehicle Fatality Crash according to a press release sent by Texas DPS.
A Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Mark Two Hector, 52 of Goliad, was traveling North on FM 2987 in Goliad County on Thursday.
For reasons still under investigation, Hector laid his 2009 Harley Davidson Motorcycle onto its right side. The motorcycle skid down the roadway for several feet and came to final rest on the edge of the roadway on its left side facing northeast.
Hector separated from the motorcycle and came to rest in the roadway. Hector was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and as a result suffered a severe head injury.
Hector was transported via PHI helicopter to San Antonio Medical Center in San Antonio TX. Hector was pronounced deceased by Dr. Arthur Mielki at 5:55 PM on 9-19-19 for injuries sustained in the crash.
The Fatal Crash is still under investigation.
