In memory of Amanda Johnson: Jiu-Jitsu seminar will take place on May 22
Johnson was a Jiu-Jitsu mom
VICTORIA, Texas – On Saturday, May 22, there will be a Jiu-Jitsu seminar held at the Victoria Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, 1901 N Main Street in Victoria, in memory of Amanda Johnson. The seminar will begin at 11 a.m. until everyone is exhausted. There will also be a Women’s Kickboxing available for the ladies.
Johnson, 38 and mother of two, was found burned in a SUV in Matagorda County on April 18, after being reported missing on April 17. Known as “A-Rod”, she taught classes at CrossFit 302 in Victoria for approximately eight years and was a Jiu-Jitsu mom to her son Max.
Victorian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu asks that the community come out and support Johnson’s passion for watching her son. There will be a special guest from Clear Lake Jiu-Jitsu Ed Ramos at the seminar.
Ladies, make sure to bring gloves for the Women’s Kickboxing. Donations will be required to attend the seminar, and all proceeds will go directly to help support Johnson’s children and any outstanding expenses that may arise.
