Humans remains found in Wharton County near County Road 225
The Wharton County Sheriff's Office found human remains in a secluded area on Friday, June 18.
WHARTON COUNTY, Texas – The Wharton County Sheriff’s Office found human remains in a secluded area off of County Road 225 in Wharton County on Friday, June 18.
According to a news release, the Sheriff’s Office, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Texas Rangers, processed the scene, and the remains were taken to the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
Then, on Saturday, June 19, an autopsy was completed and the Chief Medical Examiner estimates that the remains are of a woman between the ages of 14 to 17 years, according to the release.
Authorities also described the woman has dark brown to black hair that was should to upper back in length.
