Extended forecast: Monday through Saturday: A trough will pass over the Crossroads increasing rain chances slightly for Monday.   Rain chances will diminish Tuesday through Thursday.  There is a very slight chance for a passing shower due to the high moisture content and southerly flow generating the afternoon sea breeze.  Rain chances elevate again Friday through Saturday as another trough passes through the area.  Temperatures will be warmest midweek with less cloud cover. Highs will be 97-98, dropping to the mid-90s by the end of the week.  Heat indices will continue to range from 105 to 109, although no mention of a possible Heat Advisory at this time.  Winds will be generally SE 10-15, gusting to 20-25, especially along the coast.

Synopsis: A couple of weak mid-level, inverted troughs will move across the area Monday and Friday, increasing rain chances slightly.  Some of the showers and a few storms may move inland with the sea breeze as it develops in the afternoon.  Any storms could produce up to 1-1.5” of rain due to the slow movement and dissipate quickly with the cool of the evening. High temperatures will range from the upper 90s inland to mid-90s along the coast.  Heat indices will range from 105-109.  Lows will be in the mid-70s. Winds will be from the SE 10-15 mph, gusting to 20-25. ~ Scott
