Honda recalls more than 1 million cars due to fire risk

Honda is recalling one million of it’s cars.

Honda announced the recall of 1.2 million Accord midsize cars from 2013 to 2016 model years due to a battery sensor that can short out, possibly causing a fire. The automaker says it has four reports of engine compartment fires caused by the issue, but no injuries. All the fires were in states where salt is used to clear icy roads in the winter. A terminal on the battery isn’t sealed properly from moisture and the road salt can get in and cause corrosion.
