Home Instead Senior Care having a luncheon for first responders

The free luncheon is to show appreciation for all first responders

VICTORIA,Texas–Home Instead in Victoria is showing their love and support for all first responders by providing them a free lunch.

Home Instead Senior Care provides assistance to the elderly and those in need by allowing caregivers to go into a clients home to watch after them. Many senior citizens are more comfortable at home rather than a nursing home or a hospital. Home Instead started providing that option in the Crossroads in 2013. Owner of Home Instead, Stephanie Niles, says they rely on first responders.

“We always have to partner with first responders, medical field, and police officers. Because when we have our seniors at home, sometimes there are circumstances or issues that we need their assistance and we need their help,” said Niles.

As first responders continue working through the COVID-19 pandemic, Stephanie Niles wants to show her appreciation. The luncheon takes place Wednesday July 15 from 10-2 p.m. at the parking lot in front of the Home Instead office.

“I’ve got a lot of high school volunteers coming down to help serve our seniors and they’re super excited .We’re gonna have music and balloons and I think the Sonic Cony Dog is going to make a special appearance,” continued Niles.

All volunteers will wear masks and gloves and they’ll deliver the food in a drive-by setting.
