Here comes the rain
VICTORIA, Texas — With the work week fast approaching, it looks like it will be a rainy week, and even a rainy weekend.
Rain chances begin on Monday with the possibility of some sea breeze thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 90s and heat indices will be around 110°. After that, rain chances increase as the high pressure system centered over the panhandle of Texas moves west to the four corners region. Highs for the rest of the week will remain in the upper 90s.
On the weekend, it’s looking increasingly likely that a tropical system will enter the western gulf, providing us with abundant tropical moisture. This is all the system will do, no wind or further organization is expected at this time. Expect rain chances around 40% with highs in the mid 90s.
Be prepared for unexpected showers and thunderstorms this entire week! Make sure your rain gear is at the ready! I don’t think anyone is complaining though, as we are in moderate drought conditions here in the Victoria area.
