Help Stomp Cancer

Victoria, TEXAS– Denise and Wade Hartman owners of Northside Ranch Pet and Garden Center have been making donations to the citizens hospital for cancer patients by their organization Help Stomp Cancer. This is the sixth annual where they donate bags to the Citizens Hospital where the hospital then fills the bags with items that the patient will need, such as scarves and lotions, among a wide variety of other things.

“These bags what they do is its kind of a little thing they get to use when they go to their chemo or their doctor visit. We provide the bag and the Citizens Hospital puts the items in the bag,” said Denise Hartman starter of Help Stomp Cancer.

Helping the community is a big part of why they do what they do.

“My sister and I we both have health problems. Since we feel like we’ve been blessed we want to give back and we try to give back as much as possible and giving back to the community is what it’s all about. The community helps us and so we try to help the community,” said Wade Hartman starter of Help Stomp Cancer.

It’s the little things that mean the most to the Hartman’s when helping the community. Especially when they get surprise visits.

“The employees get caught off guard because you’re not expecting this person to come in and then when they tell you I gave you a bag you’re looking at them like what and their like well when I went through my cancer treatment. That’s the part that really gets to you, is what it really means to them and that’s what we do it for.”

Help Stomp Cancer raises money throughout the year to give to the Citizens Hospital for all cancer patients.
