HEB Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust donates $25,000 for new band uniforms in the V.I.S.D.

East and West High School Bands need $200,000

The East and West High marching bands in the Victoria I.S.D. recently earned Division I designations at a competition and they were wearing uniforms from 2010. The district is trying to raise $200,000 to buy new uniforms as students have a goal of going to state competition next year. The Victoria I.S.D. will contribute $100,000 when the community raises the other half. The district is now halfway there.

HEB just contributed $25,000.00 to support the effort. Here’s the award notice from HEB Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust:

H-E-B Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust (H-E-B TOC) is pleased to provide you with assistance in the amount of $25,000.00 in support of Victoria ISD Fine Arts.
