7:00AM: Hanna was upgraded to a Hurricane with sustained winds of 75 mph. It is still on track to make landfall just south of Corpus Christi.
10:00AM: According to Weather Prediction Center, the flash flood threat is increasing for Texas coast. Outer rain bands will continue to make their way onshore. This threat does include the Crossroads area.
12:52PM: Tornado Warning for Refugio County until 1 PM. Doppler indicated rotation. As of the last 6 hours, our highest wind gusts have been:
Port Aransas – 51 mph (11:35 am)
Rockport – 44 mph (9:55 am)
Port O’Connor – 41 mph (11:01 am)
Victoria – 35 mph (11:02 am)
1:08PM: Here’s the 1PM advisory on Hanna. Not too much longer now before landfall.
2:00PM: Hanna has strengthened. Max winds are now at 85mph. At 96 MPH, it becomes a Category 2
4:00PM: Hanna continues to strengthen. Max winds are 90 MPH according to 4PM update
5:00 PM: at 5 PM, Hanna made landfall on Padre Island, 15 miles north of Port Mansfield, Texas. Maximum sustained winds of 90 mph.
