H.S. Volleyball Roundup
VICTORIA, Texas — Here are Saturday’s high school volleyball results from around the Crossroads:
At the Columbus Tournament, St. Joe finished 6-1 for the weekend, going 2-1 in their three matches on Saturday. The Lady Flyers beat Industrial, 25-22, 25-27, 15-9 to win their first of the day, before falling to Caldwell for their first loss of the season. After dropping the first set in their final match against East Bernard, St. Joe came back to win the next two, 25-10, 15-5 to get two out of three on Saturday. The Lady Flyers finished third overall at Columbus.
Also playing in the Columbus Tournament, Goliad volleyball went 2-0 for the second consecutive game to improve their record to 4-3 on the season. The Tigerettes beat Terry, 25-16, 25-13 before taking care of LaGrange 25-17, 27-25. Molly Henicke led Goliad in the win over Terry with five kills, and 11 assists. Karleigh Hill added five kills in the win as well.
In Corpus, East volleyball split a pair of contests at Spikefest on Saturday, beating Aransas Pass 25-12, 25-20 before losing to Calallen 17-25, 13-25. Leilani Wimbish-Gay led the Titans with seven kills in the win, while Lauren Vahalik added four kills and five digs.
