All VISD Soccer Teams Win Tuesday

Here are Tuesday night’s are high school soccer and softball scores.
West girls soccer, winning at Memorial Stadium over Moody, 5-0, to stay in a first place district tie at 5-0-2. Jaydn Rangel with two goals and two assists for the Warriors, with a goal apiece by Paulina Salazar, Macey Franz and Anacamila Salazar. Franz also had two saves in goal.

West, East and Veterans Memorial girls, in a three way tie for the district lead. East wins in Corpus over King, 5-0. Nine saves for Alyssa Garcia. Kyleigh Spree-Kolos, with a hat trick for the Titan girls, who also got goals from Chloe Spencer and the first varsity goal from Skylar Scordellis.

West boys, upping their district record to 3-2-2 with a 3-0 win over Moody. Two Warrior goals by Ruben Leon, one by Luis Rivas.

East boys, now 5-1-1 in district after winning in Corpus over King, 4-0. Jair Sanchez with two goals for the Titans, with one apiece by Joe Aguirre and Dylan Blough, who also had three assists.

St. Joe softball, making its debut under new head coach Marley Moehrig, losing at the Field Of Dreams to Industial, 10-5, in eight innings. Emily Llanes was the losing pitcher. She also had two hits, as did teammates Katherine Terry, Mariah Morris and Juliana Espinoza. The Lady Flyers host Refugio Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at the Field Of Dreams.
