Goliad rodeo features riding competitions, family fun
GOLIAD, Texas – The Goliad County Fair and Price Rodeo kicked off Wednesday goes through Sunday afternoon.
Friday night’s competitions featured rodeo pros competing against each other in categories including bull riding, bronc riding, calf roping, mutton busting, and much more.
Chad Rutherford riding Exposed Vegas scored 87.5 points, Clayton Biglow riding Whiskey Trip scored 85 points, and Bronc Marriott riding Pow Wow Nation scored 84.5 points. Festivities continued Saturday with washer and horseshoe tournaments, a petting zoo and on Sunday there will be more mutton busting.
The Goliad rodeo is typically at least a week-long event but due to the ongoing pandemic, it was reduced to five days and went on without the carnival.
