Goliad County Commissioner Precinct 3 runoff
GOLIAD, Texas- In Goliad County, there’s a runoff for the County Commissioner seat in Precinct 3. On election night there were four people in the race to become the Goliad County Commissioner for Precinct 3.
The candidates were incumbent Mickey White, who had 12% of the vote, retired Goliad EMS Director John Creech, who held 36%, with Goliad County Sheriff Kirby Brumby having 41% and Glenn Pitts with 9 % of the vote. In Texas, for a person to win the seat they must have 50% of the vote plus 1 vote.
Now the runoff is between Creech and Sheriff Brumby. There’s no Democrat running in this race. Whoever wins on May 26th will take over as Goliad County Commissioner for Precinct 3.
Also on May 26th Victoria County Chief Deputy Roy Boyd will take over as the new Goliad Sheriff.
