Glen Flora firefighter dies after car strikes cow

A volunteer firefighter has died following a crash after training with El Campo fire crews Monday night

Officials say 24-year-old Frank Partida, Jr., a member of the Glen Flora Fire Department had been conducting training operations with El Campo Volunteer Fire Department when he was returning home last night.

At about 10 p.m., Partida was travelling on FM 960 towards Glen Flora when he struck a cow that had wandered into the road. He was killed in that crash.

Partida’s father, Frank, Sr. is the captain of the Glen Flora Volunteer Fire Department.
