Generals win for sixth time in last seven games

Winners of six of their last seven, the Generals are looking to carry their hot play into the TCL All-Star break.

The Generals defeated the Cane Cutters 12-7 on Friday night to stay unbeaten against Acadiana this season at 5-0. The defending TCL champions utilized an eight-run third inning to put them ahead for good, with the big blow coming off the bat of Jordan Johnson in the form of a three-run home run.

Center fielder Tanner Roach went 3-5 with 3 RBI in the win, while Johnson and designated hitter Ryan Flores added 3 RBI a piece as well. Spencer Arrighetti earned the win for the Generals, tossing six innings of three run ball while striking out five.

The Generals play the Cane Cutters again on Saturday night at Riverside, with first pitch scheduled for 7 pm.
