Generals win again, remain unbeaten against Acadiana

The Generals scored early and often again on Saturday.

For the seventh time in the last eight games the Generals were victorious, beating the Cane Cutters 14-6 at Riverside to complete a two game sweep. The win keeps the defending TCL champions undefeated on the season against Acadiana at 6-0, with two road games coming Sunday and Monday.

“We’ve put together a lot of good at bats against them,” said outfielder Bennett Laurence. “Their pitching’s pretty strong, and they have some really big bats we have to pitch through.”

The Generals’ games on Sunday and Monday are their last two before the TCL All-Star break. The league’s annual All-Star Game will take place Tuesday in Bryan.
