Generals rally for walk-off win over Cane Cutters

The Victoria Generals continued their four-game home stand Saturday night, taking on the Acadiana Cane Cutters at Riverside Stadium.

With the Generals trailing 1-0 in the second inning, Jack Kenley got the bats going with a home run to tie the game up. However, the Cane Cutters answered with a two-run home run of their own off of Generals pitcher and former East Titan, Zac Leigh.

Later in the game, the Cane Cutters extended their lead to four runs, but the Generals rallied to add four runs to tie the game heading into the final inning. A bunt from Hunter Hearn, scoring one in the bottom of the ninth, sealed the walk-off win for the Generals, 7-6.

The Generals are back at home again Sunday night, taking on the Texas Marshals at 7:05 p.m.
