Generals fall to Bombers for second straight game

The Generals’ first two games against rival Brazos Valley fell flat.

The defending TCL champions lost to the Bombers for the second straight game on Monday, falling 5-3 after being one-hit on Sunday. The Generals will have a chance to right the ship on Tuesday when they travel up to Bryan to play two more against the Bombers.

Managing just five hits over the two game set, the Generals fell to 11-5 with the loss. The Bombers improved to 13-3 with the win, opening up a two-game lead over Victoria.

After falling behind 4-0 on Monday, the Generals clawed back to within two runs on a two-run home run in the 6th from Ryan Flores. That would be as close as they would get, however, as the Bombers plated another before the Generals scratched across a third run in the 8th.

The Generals and Bombers open up their next series Tuesday night at 7 pm in Bryan.
