Generals beat Twins for third straight win
VICTORIA, Texas — After four straight losses last week against the Bombers, the Generals are back on track.
Following their two game road sweep of the Baton Rouge Rougarou over the weekend, the Generals picked up right where they left off on Monday, beating the Texarkana Twins behind five solid innings from starter Alex Canul. Spencer Arrighetti was effective for the Generals in relief, coming on to strike out seven in just three innings of work.
The team’s third straight win comes after a pair of off days, with the team returning home from the road trip late Friday night.
The Generals got on the board in the fourth inning Monday on a two-run double from Jordan Johnson, before Jonathan Tapia tripled to drive in two more. Coby Potvin and Ryan Flores — who celebrated his 20th birthday Monday — also added RBI for the team in the win.
The Generals will close out their series with the Twins Tuesday at Riverside.
