GCSO accept drug antidote kits from Victoria County
GOLIAD, Texas — The Goliad County Sheriff’s Office have accepted drug antidote kits from Victoria County to aid their deputies in the event of an opioid overdose.
All patrol deputies have been issued Narcan inhalers, which block the effects of opioids during an overdose.
VCSO Chief Deputy Roy Boyd donated the inhalers to Goliad County.
Sheriff Kirby Brumby said in a statement that he hopes his deputies are never exposed to dangerous opioids during their patrols but adds he is grateful to have the inhalers as it could help save a life one day.
