Gas prices continue to rise across Texas, including the Crossroads region

Here is a look at the average gas prices across throughout Texas

TEXAS – On Thursday, the statewide gas price average rose to $4.34 a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, according to the Triple A Texas Weekend Gas Watch.

The rise in average gas price is an eight-cent-increase from a week ago. It is also one dollar and 63 cents higher than the same day last year.

In Texas’ major metro areas, El Paso drivers are now paying the most on average at $4.54 a gallon. In Lubbock, drivers are paying the least at $4.16 a gallon.

When looking at the Crossroads area, Victoria County has the lowest average gas price in the six-county region at $4.21 a gallon. This amount is one penny more than Wednesday’s average gas price.

Currently, there are no counties in the area that are below $4.20 a gallon.

Jackson County has the highest average gas price in the region at $4.37 a gallon. This amount is one cent more than Wednesday’s average gas price.

Goliad County is the only county in the region that did not increase by one penny in a day.
