Full Force gymnasts and cheerleaders reach nationals
All-girls cheerleading team in Walt Diseny World
VICTORIA,Texas– The gymnasts at Full Force gym in Victoria and El Campo are thriving this year at national competitions and the same can be said for the All-Star cheerleading team.
Over 4,000 cheerleaders made the trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The all-girls team won the All-Star World Championship by 0.1 of a point.
Level four, the senior level team, is co-ed, aged 13 and up, placed third and just missed out on second place by just 2 points.
The level six team, which is the highest level in the sport, also competed and placed 23rd out of 50 teams. This was the first time that a cheer team made it this far in level 6.
There were six competitors on the team from the Crossroads area including Victoria, Cuero, Port Aransas, Wharton and El Campo.
The Full Force gym in Victoria and El Campo are both managed by Terese Thompkins.
Thompkins decided instead of competing against each other, they will be teaming up for future competitions.
