Here are Friday’s high school basketball results from around the Crossroads:

In Victoria, the Titans hosted a district doubleheader against King in the East gym. The girls got the action started in the early game, beating the Mustangs 49-33 behind 13 points from Zakari Perry. Giani Wimbish-Gay added 10 as East clinched a playoff spot with the win, improving to 11-4 in district play on the season. The clincher marks the ninth straight season the Titans have earned a playoff spot.

In the late game, the boys had their share of troubles. East dealt with turnovers all night as they fell to the Mustangs, 58-54, despite a second half comeback.

In Corpus, Warrior basketball played a pair of district road contests against Moody. The West girls kicked off the doubleheader, rolling to an 85-41 win behind 22 points from Carrie Barrera-Lacy and Ashley Geisalhart. Kennedy Youngblood added 16 for the Warriors, who improved to 32-5 overall and 13-2 in district.

The Warrior boys followed in a hard-fought contest, falling 70-55 despite 18 points from Kevin Rankin. Andrew Shelton added 12 for West, which fell to 0-13 in district with the loss.

East and West basketball will play each other for the second time this season on Tuesday in the West gym.
