Free Meals for the Homeless on Christmas Day at Texas Seafood

“This Christmas we need warms hearts around the community,” Phan said.

It has taken a lot of preparation and planning to make sure anyone who needs a warm meal on Christmas day has one, but the staff of Texas Seafood says they don’t mind the extra work because Christmas is a time for giving.

“We all think and feel that Christmas is about caring for others and it shouldn’t just be Christmas,” Gonzalez said.

The homeless can stop by and pick up a boxed dinner from 11:00am to 2:00pm and the Christmas dinner that is on the menu is free and delicious.

“A lot of Ham, a lot of Turkey, a lot of Catfish and a lot of Gumbo,” Phan said.

Mr. Phan hopes to make this Christmas meal an annual tradition and he says this will be the first step towards starting the New Year off right.

“For 2017 hopefully it will be a new year and a new life for everybody around here,” Phan said.
