Free COVID-19 Testing at the Victoria Community Center

You will not need an appointment, and you will not need a doctor’s order or a prescription to get tested

VICTORIA, Texas – There have been a spike of new cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County. The Victoria County Public Health Department will be having free COVID-19 testing in the coming days. Thursday June 25th and Friday June 26th there will be free walk-up COVID-19 testing at the Victoria Community Center.

Anyone that has symptoms is encouraged to get tested and even if you aren’t  symptomatic you can get tested as well. You will not need an appointment. You will not need a doctor’s order or a prescription. I want to reiterate that the test is free of charge. Public health authority Dr. John McNeill said being exposed to COVID-19 is guaranteed if you aren’t taking the correct precautions.

If you go into a crowd of people and you are with a bunch of people you don’t know and you are with a bunch of people that have been with a bunch of people they don’t know, and you don’t have a mask on and you are social distancing you can consider yourself exposed to COVID. It’s that rampant, it’s that wide spread right now.

The testing on Thursday the 25th will be from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Testing on Friday the 26th will begin 8:00 a.m. in the morning and continue to noon. The Victoria Community Center is located at 2905 East North Street, Victoria TX. Continue to socially distance, wear face coverings in public and wash your hands. Together we can get through this.
