A former Victoria golf pro will play in a major championship this month.
Casey Russell, former golf head pro at The Club At Colony Creek, tying for eighth place at the PGA Professional Championship on Wednesday. That means Russell earns a spot in the PGA Championship in two weeks at Bethpage Black in New York. Russell, now the golf head pro at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland; shoots a final round 70 to finish at even par in Bluffton, South Carolina.
