Former Goliad Volleyball Star Signs With A&M-Kingsville
Morris Was State Player Of The Year
Kingsville, Texas — A former Goliad volleyball state champion finds a new college team.
Roxanne Morris, one of six players to sign with A&M-Kingsville women’s volleyball Friday. Morris has played volleyball at Goliad High School and Blinn College as well as for the Corpus Christi Force and Texstar club programs. Morris’s list of high school accolades include being named district MVP for three consecutive seasons from 2014-16, twice being placed on the all-state team and leading Goliad to a state championship in 2016. She also competed in basketball, softball and track in high school. After arriving at Blinn, she was an all-conference performer in 2017 and the conference’s setter of the year in 2018. The daughter of Jessica and Jack Morris, Roxanne will be studying Sports Management at TAMUK.
