Former East Titan makes NFL Debut

Bailey Zappe comes in against the Green Bay Packers

GREEN BAY, Wi- Rookie New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe got the call in the first quarter to come in for back up QB Brian Hover after he left with an apparent head injury.
On Zappe’s first drive, he would start inside his own 5-yard-line and go three and out. After the drive, it would be reported that Hoyer would be out the rest of the game, meaning the Victoria native would finish the game.

In the NFL preseason, Zappe played in three games and threw his first touchdown, as well as his first pick-six.
The 23-year-old broke multiple records during his stent at Western Kentucky, including most touchdowns in a season (62) and most yards in a season with 5,967.
