Former Cuero Football Star Gets New UT Position

Whittington Moved To Wide Receiver

A former Cuero football state champion, changing positions again with the Texas Longhorns.

Jordan Whittington, moving from running back to slot receiver. Head coach Tom Herman said the former four-time MaxPreps All-America was originally recruited by the Longhorns for that position. Whittington wound up at running back, then suffered a season ending sports hernia injury in the opener against Louisiana Tech. Whittington had groin surgery last September and redshirted. Even before coach Herman’s announcement of the change, Whittington had officially changed his twitter biography to signify himself as a UT wide receiver.
